In her early 20s, Tina Iaquinta, Founder of Modern Concierge, was working as a sales and marketing coordinator at a major Toronto investment firm. Her job was to plan and manage large industry events, keeping them on course and on budget. Over time, the company began throwing more and more complex problems her way—which she solved—which led to more and more people asking for solutions to more and more problems. She realised that there was an opportunity to do something different.
So in 2011, she launched Modern Concierge. The vision has always been bigger than event planning, despite the fact her group has coordinated hundreds over the last decade and have become known as a go-to agency in Toronto for top-shelf event planning and execution.
They are a concierge business. Yes, they work with corporate clients but they also work with individuals and their families. Individual clients have access to on-demand lifestyle management, luxury travel, and exclusive events. They develop personal plans tailored to fit each client’s unique needs—no matter how complex or mundane they may seem. Whether it’s helping with day to day tasks or working on bespoke experiences. Simply make a list, hand it over, and if it is legal and ethical, they have the network and resources to get it done.
