natural ingredients, naturally delicious

Christine Manning was raised Italian, in a family where food and food preparation was a big part of everyday life. Her mother taught Christine to take seasonal ingredients at the peak of freshness and preserve them for later use, without additives. With a bit of preparation, delicious, wholesome fruits and vegetables could be enjoyed year-round.

It’s a lesson she has embraced and applies every day at Manning Canning.

Manning Canning Kitchens makes a line of natural, gourmet preserves and healthy beverages for consumers who want “better for you” products. Using only simple, whole ingredients (sourced locally in season) and traditional processes, Christine and her team create products that “taste like they should”.

From humble beginnings using rented kitchens and selling at farmers’ markets, they now occupy a 4000 sq ft facility and produce eleven different products. These products are all available online and through specialty shops across Ontario. Christine is always innovating and creating new products. Sure, they have the jams, jellies or pickles necessary to elevate your next meal. But, consider pairing that with a new take on an ancient elixir: cold-pressed fruit juice infused with organic apple cider vinegar, a refreshing concentrate that’s good for your gut and great in mocktails, cocktails and sparklers.

Christine has never forgotten her humble beginnings, and rents her commercial kitchen facility to other early stage food entrepreneurs who may need the space, storage, and equipment to follow their own inspiration.
